Big Bang Theory — Amy and Sheldon engage in gossiping, a totally pedestrian concept for most sitcom characters, 
but a totally foreign idea for these two socially inept geniuses. The rumor is that Bernadette is going to dump Howard, which bums everyone out, except Raj, who has been harboring a crush on his best friend’s girl. Turns out that Howard is proposing, and to the surprise of all, she accepts! But the Sheldon and Amy subplot revolving around the two of them applying different scientific theories to how quickly gossip spreads by telling Penny first that they’d had sex and then that Amy was pregnant was the best part. The mere idea of it had us giggling, as did the fact that Sheldon Cooper’s classmates teased him by calling him “Smelly Pooper”. We also enjoy any time Leonard can mention some bit of ridiculata from the vaunted Roommate Agreement. This time it was the tape on the bathroom floor that prohibits people from flossing too close to the mirror. We imagine that anytime Leonard considers moving out, he realizes he’ll have to assemble a legal dream team to break the agreement and just decides to stick it out.
