Long-time spunkybuddy Lana wants to know, “Which character voiced by H. Jon Benjamin is a better lover? Archer or Bob?”
Now, this is a question that I have never considered, but there are some things you can’t unthink. So, let’s size up the protagonists of Archer and Bob’s Burgers. Right off the bat, Sterling Archer would seem to have the advantage – the guy’s a secret agent with a ton of, you know, experience. And while I’m not an expert on the hotness of cartoon dudes, he’s a good-looking guy. Bob Belcher, though, is a bit of a schlub. He’s not a guy who gets out to the gym, and you just know he smells like sweat and bacon. But let’s not be so shallow. Archer is in it for Archer. Any enjoyment his partner derives is purely accidental. There’s a reason we’ve seen so many women leaving his penthouse in tears. There’s some dark stuff happening there. Bob may not be flashy, but he’s solid. He spends all day making his customers and his family happy, and you have to think that’s indicative of his approach in the bedroom. Have we heard any complaints from Linda? I think not. But Lana (Archer’s ex, not spunkybuddy Lana) has nothing but derisive remarks about their time together. On the basis of the available evidence, I’m giving Bob the crown.
