The Best TV Shows on TV – TV’s Moments of Joy: The Burn Unit

And I’m pretty sure they’re both better than Jon Benjamin’s first major role, Coach McGuirk from Home Movies.  Try not to think about it.

Spunkybuddy emeritus Larry Young had some great questions.  First, “What would you rather have the Emmys do:  Set aside ‘Best Actor in a Comedy’ for Alec Baldwin as long as 30 Rock lasts, or just accept it as a given and have a split category?  And if the latter, what would you call the second one?”

Let me bounce this off you – we rename the category “Alec Baldwin Presents:  The Alec Baldwin Award for Best Actor in a Comedy”, and Baldwin gets to make the final decision on the winner.  Imagine if the biggest names in comedy had to aim their campaigns squarely at Alec Baldwin.  Maybe the Emmy comes down to a footrace between Louis C.K. and Danny McBride, and the stage at the Staples Center is the finish line.  The Emmys would never hurt for viewers again!
