TV’s Moments of Joy 2: Electric Boogaloo (May 7-13)

2. Breaking Bad – It may seem counterintuitive to present a Moment of Joy from Breaking Bad. While it’s consistently one of the best shows on TV, it doesn’t bring a lot of joy. It’s a show where a terminally ill man cooks crystal meth to provide for his family, and that’s approximately the least dark thing about it these days. This week’s episode was particularly dark, with Walt’s DEA brother-in-law in a coma after being attacked by a pair of twin hitmen. We’re not going to include a video, but there was a scene where the surviving twin, after having had his legs amputated, climbs out of his bed and crawls on his bloody stumps to get revenge on Walt. It was gruesome.
