TV’s Moments of Joy 2: Electric Boogaloo (May 7-13)

7. The Office – Somewhere along the way, and against all odds, Ed Helms’ Andy Bernard became the heart of this show. This week, the office found out that Michael was seeing a married woman. Andy, whose former fiancée cheated on him with Dwight, takes it upon itself to force Michael to meet the cuckold. (Andy’s word. We’ve watched a lot of TV in our time, and are pretty sure we’ve never heard a character use that term before.) It’s awkward, but it’s very funny, and there’s real emotion at its core. We should also note that this week we learned that Creed has a favorite James Macavoy movie. Who knew?
