Here at spunkybean, we can’t possibly write about every show that we watch. In order to clear up that kind of time, we’d have to watch fewer shows and then we would be miserable. Since we can’t recap everything, we’ve decided to end the week with some Moments of Joy – things that made us happy in TV this week. And if you saw Lost this week, you know why we’ve chosen to inaugurate this feature on this particular week. Honestly, we need a boost just to lift our spirits to the level of “clinically depressed”.
And so, to paraphrase Tom Bergeron, here are this week’s Moments of Joy – in no particular order.
1. Dancing with the Stars – OK, we spend a fair amount of time talking about DWTS here. But this week’s performance show brought one of our all-time favorite dances – figure skater Evan Lysacek and Anna Trebunskaya’s Argentine Tango. Around here, Anna has been a favorite ever since Season Two when she and Jerry Rice went to the finals. Since then, she’s been paired with a succession of quickly-eliminated tomato cans like Albert Reed, Steve Guttenberg, and Chuck Liddell. This year, she’s been paired with a real contender, and we’ve been able to see the kind of choreography she can create when she’s not working with a man known for throat-punching people into submission.
