TV’s Moments of Joy — Bob Bobinson Bobert

Justified – Timothy Olyphant is back!  We love Olyphant, and our favorite way to see him is wearing a Stetson and dispensing justice.  This week, he returned to FX for a second season as Marshall Raylan Givens.  Season One was great, and the movie-themed ads (including Star Wars and Dirty Harry) have had us all revved up for new episodes.  The premiere wrapped up some loose ends from the season finale, and then kicked off a whole new arc with Raylan running afoul of a murderous backwoods marijuana syndicate.  And one of those “reefer farmers”, Dickie Bennett, is played by none other than Jeremy “Faraday” Davies from Lost.  In contrast to the meek physicist we know and love, Dickie is a cruel psychopath.  We never thought we’d be scared of Faraday, but as Dickie he’s creepy and unsettling.  “The Moonshine War” (named after another novel from Raylan’s creator, Elmore Leonard) told a satisfying story, involving Raylan’s pursuit of a sex offender, but also set up plot threads for the coming season.  We didn’t think anybody could replace Beau Crowder as Raylan’s nemesis, but the Bennetts already have us riveted.
