30 Rock – NBC was on fire with their Christmas episodes on Thursday. This episode brought us guest appearances from Elaine Stritch, Alan Alda, Elizabeth Banks, and Will Forte, as Jack established a Christmas Attack Zone and went to war with his mother. Liz tried her best to keep a lid on things while avoiding her own family, and Tracy decided to get serious after receiving acclaim for his role in Hard to Watch (a movie which apparently includes a scene of “babies having a hammer fight in a dumpster”). Tracy’s scenes were a nice parody of Eddie Murphy, who (many believe) lost out on an Oscar nomination for Dreamgirls when he followed it up with Norbit. And Tracy gave us the line of the night just before a showing of Hard to Watch at a women’s shelter – “Residents of the home for battered women, be quiet! A man is talking!” Another great Ludachristmas is on the books!
