Men of a Certain Age – This TNT drama returned for a second season, and we’re glad to have it back. Joe, Owen, and Terry are back, and things still aren’t quite working out for them. Owen (the always amazing Andre Braugher) is running his father’s car dealership and realizing he’s not really that good at it. Scott Bakula’s Terry took a job there as a salesman and realized that he’s even worse at that. And Joe (Ray Romano) is practicing for the PGA Senior Tour and giving up gambling. But he still hangs out with his bookie, and his frequent references to “making a bet with myself” are certainly worrying. This show can be dark, but there is nothing that makes us happier than those scenes where the guys go to breakfast together and give each other crap. They’re so much fun, and they really feel like a group of friends. The highlight this week was Joe revealing his new glasses (which, no kidding, are the exact same glasses that Moments of Joy contributor EJ wears), and Owen christening him “Papillon”. It turns out, TNT isn’t all crime dramas about spunky ladies with badges – check out Men of a Certain Age.
