The Best Shows on TV

TV’s Moments of Joy: Dr. Blake Downs, Clown Doctor

Paul Rudd & Steve Carrell also spoofed “The Decision”, which can only serve to make us love them more; something we never thought possible.  They managed to include Office jokes too!

Downfall – And as long as we’re talking about ridiculous competitions, this “Moments of Joy” favorite deserves a mention. This week’s episode was just as unprofessional and crazy as the previous several, but one contestant added a new layer of idiocy. See, when you put your loved one on the conveyor belt, they can help you with the questions, right up until they fall off the building. The category was “Theme Songs”, and Chris Jericho gave them the year the show premiered and the title of the theme song, and they had to name the show. You know, “1982, Where Everybody Knows Your Name” is Cheers. And that was pretty much the only one they got right. Because the conveyor belt-bound loved one loudly and vociferously claimed that the answer to almost every question was Fame, despite the fact that the theme song to Fame was called “Fame”. It’s not clear whether he really thought Fame was the answer every time, or whether that was the only TV show he’d ever heard of. Either way, it just kept getting funnier. We were kind of hoping one of the clues would be “1990, Theme from The Simpsons”, just to see if he’d yell “Fame”.
