We also want to note Adult Swim’s other great live-action original, Delocated. They’re repeating the first season now, in anticipation of the upcoming Season Two, and it is a delight. It’s a witness-protection reality show, which is more confusing than it sounds. See, Jon (Jon Glaser) takes his family into witness protection after crossing the Russian Mob, specifically a hitman who is also a stand-up comedian. But then he decides to document his life on a reality show, so the family implants vocal distorters into their throats and wear ski masks at all times. The concept goes off the rails pretty quickly, with very few of the gags hinging on the premise. But it’s really funny and creative. Last week’s installment, with Jon’s son celebrating his “Ska Mitzvah”, is a particular favorite.
