TV’s Moments of Joy: Dr. Blake Downs, Clown Doctor

Dave is a better host than he is a comedian. His monologues have never been great, but his interaction with the audience is fantastic and he’s got a really weird sense of humor that comes out in unrehearsed bits where he talks about his day. On Monday, he talked about his dog, and it was strange and hilarious. Just a little story without a punchline, and it was really fun to see. He’s getting Carson-esque in his old age, although meaner and stranger.
