TV’s Moments of Joy: Kisses Feel Like Punishment

And I’d like to throw in an honorable mention.  Remember the short-lived Dana Carvey Show back in 1996?  It actually wasn’t that great, if memory serves.  However, take a look at the people who made the show, and just imagine them coming together now, in 2010.  The writing staff (many of whom were also cast members) included Steve Carell, Stephen Colbert, Louis C.K., Dino (Drinky Crow) Stamatopolous, Robert (TV Funhouse) Smigiel, Dave Chappelle, Jon (Delocated) Glaser, Robert (30 Rock) Carlock, and even Oscar-nominated screenwriter Charlie Kaufman.  (Man, who knew Dana Carvey was going to be the least successful person on his show?)  You couldn’t ask for a better comedy Petri dish than that.
