TV’s Moments of Joy: Kisses Feel Like Punishment

Louie – You know, one of the most boring sitcom plots out there is “Character X gets high and suffers ill effects”.  Those episodes are almost never funny.  Unless they involve Louis C.K.  Louie has yet to disappoint us, and this was another strong episode, which included a strangely threatening Labradoodle.  (“What dog is that?”)  But our favorite moment might have been during the outtakes that run over the end credits.  Part of the episode involved Louis buying ice cream, eating too much of it, and then hating himself.  So there’s a sequence where he’s eating ice cream and saying awful things with every bite.  And the one that just killed us was “Babies with AIDS”.  Yeah.  He took a bite, and then spat out the phrase “Babies with AIDS!”  Maybe something is wrong with us, but that was hilarious.
