Metalocalypse – The new season of Adult Swim’s heavy metal cartoon has been awesome, and none more so than last week’s episode focusing on Pickles the drummer. After Pickles crashed his drums (into an airport), the members of Dethklok decided he needed to go into rehab. Yeah, Pickles got to the point where he was too drunk and irresponsible to be in Dethklok. So while the band replaced Pickles with a drum machine equipped with a 10,000 megaton warhead and a history of suddenly becoming self-aware, Pickles went into rehab with a full-fledged rock opera. We have been walking around the spunkybean offices singing “That’s why I drink!” under our breath for a week now. The next episode was pretty amazing too – the secret history of Dr. Rockzo, the rock ‘n’ roll clown. (He does c-c-c-c-cocaine, you know.)
