30 Rock – Tina Fey and company gave us a live episode of one of our favorite shows, and it was ridiculously clever. (Having Julia Louis Dreyfus play flashback Liz? Genius!) The cast really did a great job of performing live, but what we really loved were the fake commercials. Chris Parnell’s Dr. Spaceman hawked his album of love songs, one of which included the phrase “full-on intercourse” in the lyrics. And then Jon Hamm showed up as Drew Baird to show off his new hand transplant. He tried to give us a thumbs up, but it didn’t always work. Sure, it may have looked like a Mexican soap opera, but the whole thing was a lot of fun.
