Parenthood–Hey, Bravermans! We’ve missed you! This week’s biggest story revolved around Haddie and Alex, who came over for dinner with her parents. Max immediately announced that Alex was black to the room at large (ha!) but Alex took it, and everything else, in stride. Basically, he rocked in terms of meeting the parents–in fact, he was actually too put together and mature as far as Adam and Kristina were concerned. They were concerned about this handsome, charming, mature young man having his own apartment and, frankly, how enamored their 16 year old clearly was of him. The scene where they told Haddie she couldn’t date him was so sad, even though you can understand their reasons. The way Kristina held it together until Haddie left the room before breaking down in tears is just an example of how right this show gets it most of the time.
