Wipeout – This week brought us the premiere of the first ever winter season of Wipeout. And just like with each summer season, it brought a host of new obstacles. The Wipeout Zone was almost all new, and entirely ridiculous. The Sinister Snowflakes, rotating vertical sets of pylons, are a new favorite, especially since one guy decided to cross them by just absolutely racking himself with each jump. There’s no way that doesn’t hurt. We will never cease being amazed at how many ways the human body can contort and still survive. A particularly nice addition is the fact that here’s a conveyor belt leading up to the famous big balls, which gives them just a little bit of extra speed and forces a quicker jump, and this results in hilarious footage of people bouncing around. And of course, it’s always a pleasure to see Jill and the Johns for another season of mayhem. Welcome back, guys!
