TV’s Moments of Joy: The Quest for Peace

Here’s what made us happy this week!

The Good Guys – This action-comedy has been all kinds of fun, but this week we’ve got to give it up for Bradley Whitford. He’s the sleazy half of the mismatched cop duo, and he’s been absolutely hilarious. His Dan Stark started out over-the-top and seems to be building a summer home there. He sleeps with witnesses, he climbs into bed with crime victims to “recreate the scene”, he drinks on the job, and he uses the police cruiser’s onboard computer to find porn. And even better, he keeps calling it “the computer machine”. Whitford doesn’t go out of his way to make him likeable or human – he just tries to make him funny, and we can’t wait to see what new levels of depravity Dan will find.
