The Johns (Anderson and Henson) have developed this rapport over the last three seasons, and while their banter tends toward the cheesy, it’s fun and good natured and occasionally really funny. You have to laugh when they seize on a small detail about a contestant and then just run with it for the full hour. And this season even saw Henson hit the course to participate in a Spinner challenge, in which he dropped luggage on hapless contestants.
And then there’s Jill Wagner (If it hasn’t been noted before, please be advised that one member of the spunkybean staff bought Blade: The Series on DVD just because Jill was one of the stars.), who spent a good portion of the season being menaced by bees. Her interactions with the contestants (and sometimes the crew) are always funny. We particularly liked the episode where she switched places with John Henson, leaving him to deal with the Whistle Lady while Jill and Anderson got to hang out and make snide remarks.
