Law & Order — The long-running (and recently cancelled) show had a big night on NBC’s Thursday lineup. On 30 Rock, there was a repeated gag with various characters not realizing the show had been cancelled (Tracy: “It was a tentpole! A tentpole!”), which proved especially embarrassing when Jack cited it before a Congressional subcommittee as an example of NBC’s diversity. Then, we learned that Michael Scott of The Office used an entire episode of L&O as his audition for the lead in “Sweeney Todd”, and then in the tag, we actually got to see part of that audition. Sadly, Community missed out, but that show gave us Betty White explaining the plot of Inception, and we can’t ask for any more than that.
