Modern Family–We were in stitches this week, as the whole gang had to deal with an earthquake. Phil lived in fear of Claire, trying to fix a cabinet that almost fell on Luke, which he had promised to anchor to the wall. Jay took Manny golfing (“I was going to have a Latino kid carry my clubs anyway; might as well be you”), and they discussed Heaven. Poor Manny and his morning espresso (which is 97 parts sugar, 3 parts espresso) are very confused about where he’ll be spending eternity. And then there were Mitch and Cam, who used the earthquake to get out of yet another theme brunch at Pepper Saltzman’s house. We knew that we were finally going to meet Pepper, and he was going to be played by Nathan Lane. And it was everything we hoped it would be. Hopefully, he’ll be back soon.
