–Some weird bits here. It’s funny to me that the first time the boys appear, they’re wearing giant sombreros. Their dialogue is a little off, but it does establish the pattern of Hank awkwardly trying to use slang (“This place is tits!”). The very fact that Doc isn’t familiar with a monarch butterfly seems to indicate that the Monarch hasn’t been much of a force in his life up to this point. Monarch gets mad when Dr. Girlfriend calls him “Buddy”, and he insists that she “keep it professional”. Since that would be a weird pet name, it’s possible that the Monarch’s real name is, in fact, Buddy. Finally, Speedy is a henchman who hasn’t earned his wings. We never see that costume design again on any other henchmen (no wings, no full hood), though Speedy later appears as a ghost in Season Four, so he’s still in continuity.
