The Venture Bros. – “Past Tense”

–Not much to say here, but the Monarch’s pose, answering the phone while lying on top of the bed, always cracks me up.

“As usual, your detective skills are impeccable, Samson.  You’ve succeeded in exposing my sinister plan to lock myself in a dungeon, chained to an albino.” – Baron Underbheit

A Sean Connery lookalike gets a call on his old-time communicator.  Hank and Dean ask him for his help, and he announces that he’s going to get the team back together.  He contacts a huge man in Japan who’s getting a back massage from a woman in a bikini.  In Brooklyn Heights, a fish-man gets a call after having a door slammed in his face by somebody who doesn’t want to talk about the Lord.  And in Boca Raton, an aged Action Man pulls on his old uniform over his wife’s protests.  We then see Doc and the rest being taken to dungeon by the female mourners from the funeral.  Each one is manacled at the neck and chained to the wall.  The mourners then strip off their dresses to reveal that they’re sexy swimsuit-clad robots, each with the same human face.  When the gas wears off, Brock assumes Underbheit is behind it all, and jumps up to attack.  However, Doc’s on the other end of his neck-chain, so if Brock moves forward, Doc gets pulled into the wall while he chokes.  Underbheit and Pete are bound the same way.  And then a view screen slides down, exposing the mastermind.  Mike Sorayama.
