Billy and White approach Dr. Girlfriend about arching for them, but she turns them down. Meanwhile, Dean tries to hit on Triana, and then gets the dry heaves. Orpheus sells Rock’em Sock’em robots and a spear gun to a couple of frogmen. He talks to Doc about how great it must be to have an archnemesis. The Monarch complains about needing to use the bathroom, then Orpheus slaps him and sets fire to his feet and then gives him his card.
–This is the first time where the concept of having an “official” archenemy comes up. We only just found out there was a Guild, and they’re already getting into how it works. While Billy and Pete still don’t have an official arch, you’ll see Orpheus get Guild approval next season. In the background, you can see Richard Impossible, in his first appearance. Of course, when this aired, it just looked like Mr. Fantastic was at the Venture Compound. Also, Intangible Fancy shows up to hassle the Monarch. He’s another background villain, but he has a big scene in Season Four. And as long as we’re documenting firsts, this is the first time Monarch uses his favorite insult – “You dick!”
