–I’ll level with you – most of this recap is going to me pointing out things that are funny. Because just about everything in this episode is. We get another look at the Monarch and Dr. Girlfriend’s sex life, which is always interesting. And note that she doesn’t immediately recognize Hank and Brock – that sort of indicates to me that the Monarch’s feud with Doc had been dormant for a while, and hostilities only resumed in the pilot episode. I mean, he probably still harassed Doc from time to time, but not like he does now. Remember, the first episode was the first time the boys had ever met him. As for Dean, well, the bit where everybody’s trying to get him to take his pants off is really funny. Those guys are all so bad at talking to kids! This is also our confirmation that Billy is a midget and not a child. I don’t think we were ever supposed to think he was a kid, actually. But Dean did, and that’s what counts. This is also one of the few times he’s referred to in the episode itself as “Master Billy Quizboy”. When he first appeared, that’s how he was listed in the credits, so it became a popular way for the fans to refer to him. It’s just rarely ever spoken in the show proper.
