And so we begin Season Four of The Venture Bros., in a premiere that uses a storytelling technique that I’ve never really seen on TV before, and also makes a mockery of my Season Four primer that ran last week. Nothing about the Monarch or Jonas Venture, but we did get prominent appearances by Hunter Gathers, Steve Summers, and a major subplot involving SPHINX. So before looking at the plot and making sense of the timeline, we’ll introduce some of the characters who may have been unfamiliar in the premiere.
