–This is the scene where, in the original airing sequence, things start to make sense. The surgeon is hilarious – he has a funny voice, and I love that he has apparently given many people robot hears, as inspired by Iron Man.
Venture Brothers — “Blood of the Father, Heart of Steel”
5. (CGC Rating 9.6) Dr. Venture explains to Henchman 21 why it’s not a good idea to clone 24. “He’ll be a little baby, and have none of your friend’s memories.” 21 doesn’t care, and wants him cloned anyway. He presents a near-mint copy of Marvel Comics #1, which is the first comic ever published by the company that eventually became Marvel Comics, and a copy not as nice as 21’s recently sold for $350,000 in real life. Doc is unconvinced of its value, and tries to turn 21 away. He insists, and presents 24’s finger for cloning material. Hank brings Doc a package – HELPeR’s head wrapped in Brock’s coat. Doc performs a hard reboot on the poor robot, and gives Hank the comic. (Hilariously, the value starts counting down the second Hank touches it.) Hank is disappointed that there’s no Batman in it.
