Venture Brothers — “Blood of the Father, Heart of Steel”

–It’s nice to see Brock playing catch-up. It really sells the idea that this is a massive conspiracy when Brock can’t put the pieces together himself. It’s especially notable that Hunter removes his breasts in this scene – the whole sex change has been a long-running ruse. That’s commitment right there.

11. (CGC Rating 1.5) Hank hears the returning X-1 and assumes that Brock is back. Dean is playing with the dog, who he’s named Giant Boy Detective. Piloting the X-1 is Henchman 21, and his LARP (live-action role-playing) crew. Also, the X-1 is covered in graffiti. Doc chews them out, and directs Hatred to kill them. (He does not.) Doc and 21 argue about cloning, and then 21 goes off to ask Dr. Orpheus to use his necromancy to bring back 24. Orpheus says he can’t, and then the Hitler Dog starts chewing up Orpheus’ relics, as well as that poor, poor Mavel Comics. Orpheus prepares for “the ritual of cleansing”.
