–This scene breaks my heart. 21 realizes that he has to move on – he can’t devote his life to a ghost, but he can’t deal with it when he finds out that it wasn’t a ghost at all. There’s always been a question as to whether or not he was imagining things. Yes, spirits exist in the Venture-verse, but they generally don’t appear to the living. But I really wish he had been real, for 21’s sake. This is such a good scene, though. He can accept choosing to move on, but he can’t accept being forced to move on. You have to feel sorry for the poor guy.
