Colonel Gentleman – A member of Jonas Venture’s original Team Venture. He’s an elderly, hedonistic homosexual, and was believed dead for most of Seasons Two and Three. He’s based on Sean Connery – sort of a mix of the actual Connery (who occasionally threatens to smack women in the mouth) and Connery’s Allan Quatermain performance from League of Extraordinary Gentlemen. He, like most of the original Team Venture, is kind of a jerk. But he’s usually pretty funny. Strangely, Team Venture was completely absent from this season, right up until now. That’s very unusual, and old Colonel Gentleman just snuck in under the buzzer.
