–You have to be a little happy for Sgt. Hatred winning Prom King. Also, note that Princess Tinyfeet is still wearing the ball gag. Dr. Mrs. The Monarch was not kidding about her being into it. And starting with the prom scene and going through the rest of the episode is a rare instance of Venture Bros. actually using an existing song. It’s Pulp’s “Like a Friend”, and I think it fits the mood perfectly. That was a good use of their soundtrack dollars.
“FIX IT!” – General Treister
Brock looks at his watch – 11:59. He runs toward the half of the TRON cycle that wasn’t destroyed and guns it toward the Compound. It reaches midnight, and Brock jumps off and runs the rest of the way, knife drawn. He finally makes it to the hangar to find… everybody slow dancing. Doc’s Spanish Fly worked – the assassins are too horny to go on a kill spree. And then, the ladies all start mutating into horrible fly creatures. Everybody panics, except Brock who strides toward them with a murderous grin. We pan up to see a missile flying up. When it reaches the stratosphere, it opens up and ejects General Treister into space, he’s locked in a determined salute with a post-it note reading “FIX IT!” taped to his chest.
It’s Last Tango in Paris, not On the Waterfront.
