Venture Brothers — “Perchance to Dean” Venture Bro

–To quote my friend Sam, “Well, of course Sgt. Hated is a Buffett fan.”

Man, that episode was fun. There’s a great escalation at the end, and funny lines throughout. It doesn’t require much knowledge of the series to be able to enjoy it, either. I’m fascinated by how much favoritism Doc is showing to Dean now – maybe he just can’t handle Hank’s rebellious phase, but Hank’s right to be mad. I feel like they’ve finally got the right angle for Sgt. Hatred now. Proactive, but incompetent. He’s been funny all along, but seeing him make those Doc decoys was killing me, especially since his plan didn’t make any damn sense at all. Still missing Brock, though.
