The Monarch – He’s the show’s main villain, but he’s also the focus of almost as many episodes as the Ventures themselves. He’s a butterfly-themed madman with dreams of conquest, but mostly he’s obsessed with Dr. Venture. The origin of his hatred is still unknown, but there’s nothing he wants more than to destroy Doc. Except for when they end up working together. It’s a complicated relationship.
