Venture Brothers — “The Better Man” Venture Bro

Torrid – The Order of the Triad’s official arch, he’s actually fairly competent, once abducting Triana to “The Torrid Zone”. His appearance is a mix of DC Comics’ Deadman and Marvel’s Dormammu. And for no good reason whatsoever, he has an Australian accent.

The Master – His exact nature is unknown, Orpheus refers to him as “Master” but doesn’t seem bound to serve him. As we see this week, he mostly just offers advice, even though it’s often malicious or detrimental. Every time he appears, he takes a different form – previously he’s appeared as Cereberus and Catherine the Great’s horse. It’s not known whether or not The Master is evil. I had always thought of him as Satan, but this episode would seem to refute that. The portal to visit his realm is located in Triana’s closet. The Master is played by H. Jon Benjamin, who’s appeared on just about every Adult Swim show up to this point.
