See, a Batman Beyond comic is automatically going to earn my goodwill, because I like the character and the setting. A comic with Hush in it is always going to have an uphill battle. A good Batman Beyond comic should be a given. A good Hush story is unprecedented. Adam Beechen deserves all the credit in the world for telling the first Hush-adjacent story that is actually enjoyable. I can not even tell you how happy I am that this is going to be a regular series.
Action Comics (DC) – As discussed previously, the flagship Superman title is spending a year telling stories about the most powerful man in the world walking across America and feeling sad about stuff. And for now, that’s the only book Superman’s appearing in. So his nemesis, Lex Luthor, took over his slot in Action Comics. And in five issues, he’s battled a telepathic alien worm inside his own mind, scammed a super-intelligent gorilla, got romantic with a robot Lois Lane, died, argued with the personification of Death, and then came back to life. I dare you to find something in there that isn’t awesome.
