Writer Paul Cornell is quickly becoming one of my favorites, between this and his Knight and Squire series, which presents the English analogues of Batman and Robin. I’m really loving Pete Woods’ art, too. His past work was a little chunky for my tastes, but he’s really developed his style into something lovely. He can draw people wearing suits and talking and it looks great. Or he can draw an alien caterpillar with a six-shooter and a mustache, and it looks like something that I want framed on my wall right now. Thanks to these guys, Luthor is headlining one of DC’s best books.
