Honorable Mention: The Simpsons Movie and Bender’s Big Score – While not strictly television, America’s favorite family came to the big screen and actually lived up to the hype. The Simpsons Movie was a reminder of just how great Homer and the rest really can be, and it did my old, yellow heart good. And then the original Futurama DVD movie brought back the Planet Express crew in style. With a ridiculously complicated and hilarious story, Bender’s Big Score came off as a love letter to the fans. And the fans rejoiced.
Well, that’s where we stand at the end of 2007. I’m already kicking myself for what I left off, so it’s better to call it a day before this turns into the Top 30.
