12. My Name is Earl – Often overshadowed by its Thursday night schedule partners, Earl took a seemingly limited premise and ran with it. Fantasy episodes, flashbacks, even Claymation, and it’s all been rooted in solid characters. Earl is genuinely likeable, and even in his ‘Bad Earl’ days, he’s more greedy than malicious. Consistently hilarious, and I can’t wait to see where Earl’s life goes now that he’s questioning Karma.
11. Chuck – This show is so much fun. Striking a solid balance between action and humor, without sacrificing character development, Chuck is impossible not to like. Plus, they managed to give us a recurring character named ‘Harry Tang’ on a 8 PM show. If that’s not worthy of inclusion, I don’t know what is.
