7. Flight of the Conchords – New Zealand’s fourth most popular progressive folk band comes to New York, looking to make it big. With an entirely original comic sensibility and the best musical numbers in years, Conchords emerged as instantly likeable and thoroughly hilarious. They had me five minutes into the first episode with the heartfelt lyric “You’re so beautiful / You could be a part-time model / But you’d probably still have to keep your normal job.”
