EJ’s Top 20 Series of 2009: Part Two

It was a good year, 2009. Maybe not for me, personally, but TV had a good year at least. Aside from The Jay Leno Show, that is. And The Beautiful Life. Oh, and that one show that was like Gray’s Anatomy, only set on a space shuttle. And lest we forget, this is the year that Jeff Dunham and his collection of racist puppets brought in Comedy Central’s highest premiere ratings ever, and America wept. So when you look at it like that, it was actually a pretty rough year.
But we can’t judge the whole year by its low points. The good stuff was really, really good. And now it’s time to reveal my best of the year, out of the (approximately) one million hours of TV I watched this year. Without further ado, I bring you my Top 10 Series of 2009.
10. FlashForward (ABC) – What would happen if everybody in the world saw a glimpse of their future? That’s what this is all about. While I’m interested in the meta-arc with the Mosaic Project and uncovering the reason behind the blackouts, I’m much more excited about the world building. FlashForward shows us what a world where everybody knows their future would be like.
