The First Annual Spunky Awards – Part Two

Peter Serafinowicz in Running Wilde was a close second.  Comedy nerds already knew him from the BBC’s Look Around You, but the rest of America (or at least the very tiny percentage watching Wilde) wasn’t ready for Serafinowicz as Fa’ad.  As a foil to Will Arnett’s Steve, Fa’ad set the comedic tone for the series early on with his hysterical ruse in the pilot.  (Dr. Magazine?)  Sometimes Steve’s rival in dimwitted social climbing, sometimes his only friend, Fa’ad provided the best jokes in nearly every episode, including beating Bill Hader to the punch with a pitch-perfect Alan Alda impression.  While Wilde is on its way out, we hope Serafinowicz gets another show before 2011 is up.
