Rhys Darby: New Zealander Darby is best known as Murray on Flight of the Conchords. Murray was the worst band manager in the world, and Darby made him TV’s most loveable sad sack. This is a guy who booked the Conchords for a gig at the library (where they had to play very quietly) and made a fake Grammy for the guys so they’d feel better about themselves. I’d actually be perfectly happy if they just transplanted Murray to Scranton – he’s already an ideal fit. A guy who tries hard, rarely succeeds, and is willing to go to great personal expense to make the people who depend on him happy. Casting Rhys would be great. But not quite as great as casting…
