Archie Bunker’s Place Queens, NY This neighborhood tavern changed its name in 1977 when former proprietor Tommy Kelsey sold it to Bunker. He and partner Murray Klein built a restaurant onto the bar, which includes a separate seating area and a well-equipped kitchen with service window. The fare is tasty, and the beer is always flowing. Even though Bunker himself is now gone, as are many of the former regulars, Archie Bunker’s place is still a great place for spirited political debate, especially in these turbulent times. The Regal Beagle!
You just heard two people simultaneously kicking themselves for forgetting that one…
DAMMIT!
Bob’s Burgers sells beer!
But I guess it wasn’t on the air yet when this was published. I just wanted to give the Belcher’s a shout out. (Also it’s a restaurant, not technically a bar)
They definitely would have made the list these days! It’s a weird detail that they rarely acknowledge, but it’s very funny that Bob has a liquor license.
