TV’s Greatest Restaurants – A Handy Guide

Wienerlicious Burbank, CA Ah, the oft-misunderstood hot dog.  It’s a traditional butt of jokes, but Wienerlicious proves that the cylindrical meat can, in fact, be transcendent.  Providing a variety of gourmet hot dogs, they prove that hot dog toppings don’t have to start with ketchup and end with chili.  It combines the friendly atmosphere of a local hot dog stand with the professionalism that only years in the business can bring.  Unfortunately, the hours of operation are sporadic at best, with the store often closed and locked during normal business hours. Score:  Three Stars (Chuck)

The Pizza Bowl Milwaukee, WI The place to go for a burger, brew and some bowling, this combination pizza joint and bowling alley is run by the DeFazio family.  You can hang out for a while and get a real feel for the local young people.  We don’t really suggest going here for a gourmet pie, but there’s no better mug of beer in Milwaukee, and the lanes are waiting for you to score a perfect game! Score: One star (Laverne & Shirley)

  1. I don’t think you missed a single TV restaurant, save for the mess hall on M*A*S*H*, maybe. Of course, it’s hard to believe TWO places on Gilmore Girls made the cut and the diner from Alice and The Peach Pit did not.

I would do anything for a heaping plate of passive aggressiveness and unspoken sentiments from The Peach Pit.
