Kaleidoscopic Raygun: Voter Fatigue

Election Day is tomorrow and if you can take “Politics” out of it, you have to admit …the entire event and the weeks and months leading up to it are more entertaining than almost anything offered on reality TV. There are good-guys and villains, contrived plots, eliminations, memorable quotes and characters, and just about anything else you’d want from quality, mindless TV.

Over the weekend, The Daily Show and The Colbert Report held their Rally to Restore Sanity and/or Fear and I’m not sure what side of the fence it puts me on, but I thought it was great. Yes, Jon Stewart’s and Stephen Colbert’s shows lean seriously left-slash-liberal, but more than a few right-wing conservatives I know watch and love these shows. And the massive turnout for the Rally reminds me of one thing: America isn’t actually what we’re told we are. Allow me to explain.
