Kaleidoscopic Raygun: Voter Fatigue

Watching the news, reading the web, and listening to Political ads will make you believe we suck. You’ll think America is about to collapse politically and financially. Don’t believe it.

It’s been said that politics is uglier now than it has ever been and that political ads and “news” is meant to create voter fatigue so that the only people going to the polls are the extreme right and extreme left and the large pocket of us in the middle, those of us who actually have our own opinions, will often refrain from voting. We think, “that will send ‘em a message in Washington. Harumph!”  It won’t. So vote. Don’t let the extreme view points control things.  I mean …look what happens when you don’t vote …some bore like Lee Dewyze edges out a slightly-less-boring Crystal Bowersox. Um, yes …I know. That’s American Idol and this is real life. Is it? Is it really any more important? For the record, more people vote for American Idols than vote in mid-term elections.
