Amazing Race – Season 17 Snap Judgments

Mother-daughter teams haven’t traditionally been the most successful on the Race. Off the top of my head, I can’t really think of any who’ve made it to the finals, and least not in the last several seasons. There’s something weird about their bio – they have different last names, and Andie says she doesn’t know her teammate (her daughter) well enough to have a pet peeve. Also, Andie says she has 10 children, from 18 years to 18 months. And yet, Jenna is 21. Did Andie not raise Jenna? Am I reading too much into this? Is Jenna the “unplanned pregnancy” she mentions? There could be an absolutely ridiculous level of drama here. (Please note – Myndi actually did some legwork and watched the videos on CBS’ website and knows all the answers to my hypothetical questions. And now I look like a dope.) (ej)
