Trump asks John what he thinks. John says that he was giving Busey the benefit of the doubt, and that he just couldn’t help the way he is. Now, though, John thinks that he’s putting on an act. Trump says that Mark wanted to quit, and both Mark and John point out that nobody said that. There’s a big difference between “I can’t blame anybody else for the loss” and “Fire me so I can get some rest”. (AKA the Strawberry Maneuver) Mark, his mannerisms getting bigger and his eyes getting crazier, says that if they lost only on the theme, he wasn’t going to throw anybody under the bus. Don Jr. asks why he didn’t “bring up the Gary thing”, and Mark replies “Gary is an obvious thing”. HA! This Boardroom is maddening, but funny things are getting said. (This sentence brought to you by Passive Voice.) Mark says it wasn’t even worth bringing up Busey because he’s always the problem and it’s just a waste of time to mention it during the task.
