John calls both of them “iconic figures”, and you can maybe make a case for Meat Loaf, what with Bat out of Hell being one of the best-selling albums of all time. But Busey? No, John Rich, you have not watched his movies your “entire life”, unless you watch Lethal Weapon a lot. Yeah, he’s been in a lot of movies, but you’ve never heard of any of them. If it hadn’t been for the various stories from his personal life, he’d be the less famous Rutger Hauer. He is not the titan of film that they keep making him out to be – he’s not Kirk Douglas or anything. It’s one thing for Trump to overstate things, but the way everybody talks, you’d think Busey was Paul Rudd or something. (Please note, that last bit only works if you like Paul Rudd as much as I do. And you probably do not.)
